Antenatal shared care is a program for pregnant women who are going through the public hospital system for delivery but who would like their own GP (General Practitioner) to care for them as well. The care is shared between the hospital staff and the affiliated GP. This allows for better continuity of care for the woman and her baby throughout the perinatal period, and beyond.
