It is with great sadness that we announce Dr Woods will be retiring from General Practice medicine as of 13 December 2023.
Having worked in general practice for more than 25 years and in Balmain/Rozelle since 1998, Margot Woods was the founding doctor at RTH. Margot studied medicine at the University of Newcastle and graduated in 1984 with first class Honours. After working in Sydney in Hospitals and General Practice she moved to London to get further experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and life. After returning to Australia she became a GP in Forster on the North Coast and a mother which gave her a lot more experience in life. Now living locally, firstly in 1986, she loves being part of the Balmain/Rozelle community. Now with her daughters growing (a blended five) she is loving life's rich journey.
Margot is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian Lifestyle Medicine Association. She is committed to improving the health of Indigenous Australians.
Margot is committed to constant improvement and has a long association with the Improvement Foundation and the Collaboratives Movement. She is committed to delivering quality medicine by a quality team at RTH.
Margot enjoys joining the journey her patients take through life and hopes to support them in their choices and at times when life is challenging physically or emotionally.
Dr Margot Woods works as an independent practitioner consulting at Rozelle Total Health. ABN: 57 159 350 323
