Medicare rebates are available for eligible consultations. Certain consults and procedures attract additional fees and rebates. The final fee will depend on the duration and complexity of your presentation. Payment is due on the day of consultation. A $25 late payment fee will incur if payment is not received within 3 days of your consult.
Payment is required in full for all Work Cover and CTP consultations for patients without an approved claim. A receipt will be provided so you are able to be reimbursed by your insurance company. If you have an approved claim number please provide this to our reception team.
It is our principle that patient health care should not be disadvantaged because of financial difficulty. Please discuss alternative arrangements with your practitioner if you are in this situation.
Medicare Safety Net
The Medicare Safety Net can help to lower your out of pocket medical costs.
For individuals and families who have a lot of medical expenses each year, the Medicare Extended Safety Net kicks in once your accumulated “gap fees” across all Medicare-rebated services reaches a threshold of $2544.30, or $811.80 for concession card holders. Once the threshold is reached you get back the usual Medicare rebate plus 80% of the gap fee. Please ensure you register your family members with Medicare each calendar year as family safety net registration is not automatic.

Cancellations
We understand that circumstances sometimes change and are accommodating to this. However, failure to attend scheduled appointments results in our Doctors time being underutilized and reduces the opportunity for other patients to be seen for treatment. In order to manage workflow we require a minimum of 4 hours notice to cancel or change your GP appointment, and 48 hours for all Specialist appointments. Late cancellation/failure to attend appointments will incur a non attendance fee. No Medicare rebate.
