These fees are indexed to inflation and are equivalent to the NSW Govt determined rates for primary health care workcover activities.
In addition to your doctor’s time, these fees cover the practice overheads such as rent, staff wages, utilities, medical supplies, insurances etc., all of which have been affected by inflation as in other sectors.
We understand that healthcare costs are a concern, and we encourage you to take advantage of ways to reduce your expenses:
✅ Register for the Medicare Safety Net – This can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket costs once you reach the annual threshold. Learn more here.
✅ Ask About a GP Management Plan – If you have a chronic condition, this structured plan can make your healthcare more efficient and cost-effective.
✅ Book the Right Appointment Length – A thorough consultation at the start may reduce the need for multiple shorter visits.
✅ Stick with One Practice Where Possible – This prevents unnecessary repeat tests and history-taking, making your care more streamlined. If you visit multiple practices, bring copies of your key medical documents to each appointment.
