📢 Attention All Patients! 📢
The 2024 Flu season has arrived. This means it’s time to get vaccinated!
We’re happy to announce that this year’s influenza vaccines have arrived at our clinic. Here’s why we recommend you get vaccinated:
Protect Yourself: Influenza, commonly known as the flu, can cause serious illness, especially in vulnerable populations such as the elderly, young children, and individuals with underlying health conditions. Getting vaccinated significantly reduces your risk of catching the flu and its potential complications.
Protect Others: By getting vaccinated, you’re not only safeguarding yourself but also those around you. Flu can spread easily from person to person, and even if you have a strong immune system and might recover quickly, you could unwittingly pass the virus on to someone who is more susceptible to its effects.
Prevent Overwhelming Healthcare Systems: During flu season, hospitals and healthcare facilities often experience an influx of patients suffering from flu-related illnesses. By getting vaccinated, you can help prevent the spread of the flu and alleviate the burden on our healthcare system, ensuring that resources can be allocated where they are most needed.
Influenza vaccine appointments are available every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 9am – 5pm, early morning sessions on Mondays and Thursdays between 7am – 8am, with a Saturday afternoon session for increased accessibility. There is a fee of $10 for the nurse consultation +/- cost of the vaccine of $20 each depending on your eligibility. See if you’re eligible for a free vaccine here.
