Important Notice- Fee Structure- May 2024

We’re writing to inform you about an upcoming adjustment to our fee structure at Rozelle Total Health, effective 6 May 2024.

As of 6 May 2024 our fee structure is as follows

Prolonged: > 45 minutes	$285	$ 327	$118.00	$167.00

As with all other industries, we have been feeling the pinch of increased costs due to  inflation.  We have been absorbing these increases for the past year and have not changed our fees since 1 January 2023.  We need to make this adjustment now to ensure the viability of the practice.  We are very privileged to attract wonderful medical practitioners, nurses and staff to work at the practice in service of our community.  To continue to attract great humans, we need to make sure they are being paid appropriately. 

We understand that healthcare costs are a concern for many individuals and families, especially in the context of broader economic challenges. Please know that we remain committed to providing exceptional care while also being mindful of the financial impact on our patients. We are continuously exploring ways to optimize our operations and minimize costs wherever possible.

Here are some ways you can minimize your out of pocket medical costs

1. Register your family for the Medicare safety net to ensure you are getting the highest available Medicare rebate. See instructions here. 
2. If you have a chronic condition, ask your GP about a GP Management Plan.  This will ensure your visits are organized and efficient so you can get all your prescriptions and referrals at regular intervals rather than ad hoc appointments
3. Allow adequate time to explore your concerns by booking a longer appointment.  Doing a thorough evaluation from the start can reduce the need for lots of shorter appointments.
4. Avoid jumping around between practices. This often results in unnecessary duplication of history taking and investigations.  If you do choose to spread your care across various practices –  please keep a copy of all investigations to share with your health care team at each appointment.
