Important Update: Changes to Our Booking System

From Monday 13 July 2026, we will be moving from HotDoc to Automed for our online bookings, clinical reminders, and patient communications.

What happens to your current bookings?
If you already have appointments booked, don’t worry β€” your appointments are safely in our system and nothing changes. Going forward, all new bookings will simply be made through Automed.

Why are we making this switch?
We’ve chosen Automed because it puts your data privacy first and gives us better, more secure tools to manage your care. Here’s what that means for you:

  • Enhanced Data Security: With an increase in healthcare scams and phishing messages circulating online, we want to ensure your information is completely safe. Automed has a strict zero-sharing policy β€” your phone number and health data will never be tracked, sold, or used to send you third-party marketing or ads.
  • More Appointments Available Online: You can now book a wider range of appointments directly through our website or app β€” including health checks and adult vaccinations that previously required a phone call. We’re continuing to expand what’s available online, so keep an eye out for more options coming soon.
  • Smarter Reminders: Our appointment reminders are now more detailed and informative, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before you arrive β€” including any preparation needed for your visit.
  • Tailored to Our Practice: Automed gives us greater flexibility to customise how we manage bookings and communications, so everything works better for both our patients and our team.

πŸ“² How to Book Going Forward

From 13 July, the easiest way to book is directly through our website, or you can use the AMS Connect mobile app.

To set up the app:

  1. Search “AMS Connect” in the App Store or Google Play Store
  2. Download and open the app
  3. Search for our practice name
  4. Register or log in to book

Prefer not to use the app? No problem at all β€” the app is completely optional. You can get the exact same experience by booking online via our website, or by calling our reception team directly and we’ll be happy to help.
