Over the past fifteen years Patricia has taught at Macquarie University, worked in private practice for 12 years and was the mood disorders unit Program Coordinator for the private psychiatric hospital, The Northside Clinic. She is a member of The Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society, is the NSW Branch Chair of the Australian Association of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (AACBT*) and also holds a Masters Degree in Organisational Psychology.
*The AACBT is a non-profit organisation which promotes the scientific approach to understanding cognitions and behaviours in applied settings. It is a multidisciplinary association for professionals with an interest in the application of Cognitive Behaviour Therapies (CBT, ACT, DBT, Family Systems for example) to help alleviate individual and group difficulties.
Patricia sees clients with complex backgrounds and is particularly interested in assisting people in adjusting in times of transition and high stress. High stress events include job changes, health issues, pregnancy, fertility and relationship issues amongst others. She is highly experienced in working with those who have had difficult childhood and family experiences. Patricia sees clients on both a short and long term basis.
